How can light be used in small spaces? Using one or two downlights placed in the correct position can create a huge impact. For example, in a reading corner a downlight above can provide all of the lighting you need. At the end of a corridor, using spotlights to highlight a sculpture is very effective. You recently worked on the opening of the Flagship stores for Dior New Bond Street and Michael Kors Regent Street. How did it feel to have such a huge project? Amazing! Dior was one of our first big projects for Lucent’s retail sector so it has always been close to our hearts, and we have ended up providing lighting for their stores around the world. Our versatile range of products lends themselves well to these bigger projects as we have such a wide variety of lighting solutions on offer. Most recently we have done the lighting for Robinsons shopping mall in Dubai, which looks incredible. What is next for Lucent Lighting? We will be launching a new family of miniature InWall and InGround fittings at Light & Building in March. These are a niche range of indoor and outdoor LED products, the perfect light for illuminating a pathway and uplighting a textured wall. Our Micro 40 range, a family of miniature downlights, has recently been nominated for several awards so fingers crossed for a win soon! With numerous product launches planned for 2018 accompanied by a growing portfolio, it is bound to be an exciting future for Lucent Lighting. www.lucent-lighting.com n
