This November, prepare yourself for the return of the world’s favourite superheroes. On 17th, Justice League will be released, based on the DC Comics Superhero team of the same name, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The fifth film in the DC Extended Universe, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams to name a few. In Justice League, the story revolves around Batman and Wonder Woman as they assemble a team consisting of Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons. Speculation has also begun regarding Justice League: Part 2. Henry is most known for his role as Superman in the DC Comics films and it is this role that he will portray in Justice League, with Ben Affleck starring as Batman. Jesse Eisenberg stars as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Amy Adams as Superman’s girlfriend Lois Lane. Henry began his career starring as Albert Mondego in the 2002 film adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. The British actor then went on to have minor roles in television shows such as BBC’s The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Midsomer Murders and The Tudors before transitioning to Hollywood films. He gained worldwide fame after playing superhero Superman in Man of Steel in 2013, which became a commercial success and the highest-grossing Superman film of all time. Image credit: Warner Bros.
